Year 2008 in Review

So 2008 has pass now
I'm pretty sure alot of you have made new year resolutions
My friend Alvin did, and its an unorthodox one, which he broke it today. Just 5 days into the new year XD

I don't normally do resolutions
As I don't keep track of them, and most probably I'll break it soon enough
I'll just be a decent human being myself and have myself to answer to :)

So, when people says that their year has up and downs, do they really mean it ?
Like, is that particular event significant enough to be a "down" for you ?
Losing a wallet, handphone and whatnot is still not big enough to be a "down" for me
They just serve as minor lessons for you to learn in life

Events that changes you from what you are, changes your thinking, changes YOU...
... is what an "up" or "down" should be - life changing

Well, if you don't already know, my family opened Hailam Kopitiam
Everything changed overnight man
One of us will have to wake up at 7am to go buy stuff, open shop and jaga shop
And normally taking shifts, we'll have to jaga the shop until 11pm somethings midnight
No more family gatherings as a family, no more impromptu shopping sprees with mom, can't stay up late to watch football with dad
Though I get to see more of my bro when we both are taking the night shift looking after the shop

I'm getting more ultimate frisbee action also, especially in uni
We do have a team, a fun loving active team
Can we post a serious challenge to other teams in Malaysia is another story

Having experience working life (sort of) in the shape of shop watching, I'm really enjoying uni-life
I don't at all look forward to joining the rat race
Except maybe for more financial freedom
Otherwise, I'll want to enjoy this couple of years to the max before I can't anymore

As you know, I regard ups and downs as a big thing
Some of them are too big to tell it to the whole world
So I'll keep them for myself :P


Just so you know, I'm healthy and fine here
Don't worry if I don't blog for some time, few months even
I'll eventually pop up :P
