On the Other Hand...
The day ended not bad after all..
A couple of good friends sms'ed me wishing me a Happy 18th Birthday.
And then my brother handed me a angpau for forgetting to get me a present :D (imho , thats the best gift someone can give me =P )
After bowling training today , my family brought me out for dinner.. It was nice , prawns , fish..
Then mom cooked a pot of soup with those abalone , shark fin and those expensive stuff from the cans she got for CNY from relatives and friends.. It should be nice :D
All in all , its not like people dug my name out on the sand pit and wishing me happy birthday with a cake..
But I'm a simple man (wow , call me man now please :D) and simple things make me happy :) and I'm looking forward to this coming tuesday :)

My Birthday ?

So far only my cousin from penang , a junior from school who is currently Form 5 and a primary school friend which i havent seen for at least 2 years wished me happy birthday and a few guys from friendster which I'm not even actually close with.. oh ya , and there's DD, my dear :)
And also my dad and my brother , who actually didn't know its 26th today <_<
Ish.. 18 years old is not a big a deal i guess...
National Youth
I blew it .. I BLEW IT ...
I missed my chance to be given a chance to be in the National Bowling Squad <_<we have to play 32 games and still maintain an average of 188.00 for us boys.
Youths from all over country except from west M'sia , were here in town to try and prove to the people in the Malaysian Tenpin Bowling Congress that they have what it takes to represent the country.
Whats the fuss about all this you say , where people from Kedah , Penang , Johor , Pahang even Kelantan came to Sunway from so far away ? Well , THE NY Squad is just a rank below the National Squad. And the coaches and managers from the National Squad gets their player from this NY Squad. Furthermore , to expose one NY bowler , they will send them to overseas competition , and I'd really really want to don national colours.
Anyways , about this roll-off , we started in Sunway Pyramid with the 1st 16 games , which are divided into two blocks of 8 , one started at 3pm , one at 7.30pm. And off to a great start i did..
That was the 1st game i shot and throughout the day, i did ok. I ended the day with a 194.xx average. Not bad right ? RIIIGGHHTT ??
come one , 16 games and averaging 190+ per game.. I did okay...
The 2nd day , we headed up to Sri Petaling's Endah Parade , KL Megalanes.. This lanes ARE my training lanes and should be a piece of cake scoring here.
Howeveeerrrrr.....
The 4th last game.. OMiGOSH , i score a stupid 114 game -_- that dropped my average below 188 and that is no good..
In the end I completely lost it , couldnt pull it back up , and finish with a 185 average -_-
I hate myself , you know ?? Its my dream to be in the Squad and i blew in the last 4 games.. so close yet so far.. And the next chance is next year.. I don't have alot of years to come.. I might not even make it ever :(
Come to think of it , 185 average over 32 games is not bad .. but just not enough..

Air-Drying Roses
Its valentine's day and I'm sure alot of you girls are receiving flowers/roses from your boy boy *hint hint*.But real flowers are only good for a day or two , unless you keep it refrigerated. Wouldn't you like to preserve the roses that your boy bought with lots of money ?? *hint hint*I've dig up something called air drying flowers. After all this , the roses/flowers will be dried , kinda crispy to the touch , and darker in colour (especially true for True Red Roses).And here's the step by step guide- Cut away all the leaves on the stem- Bunch all the stalks together with rubber band at the cut end of the roses (divide them if there are more then 12 stalks)- Turn it upside down (flowers and the bottom) and hang it somewhere warm , dry and dark ( on a peg , a wall hook).-Leave them for 1 to 3 weeks. When they are crisp to the touch you'll know they're completely dry.-Decorate them as you like .*make sure all the petals on all the flowers are opened up and can be seen before trying to air dry**you can make a hook using a wire or use some other thing around the house to form a hook at the cut end of the roses (be imaginative)*and again , the internet failed on me , I can't find any picture that shows how to DIY air dry flowers.anyways , try it and preserve the love ^^
